My father used the word branding the other day.
That’s when I knew branding had become ordinary. Does it mean branding is no longer relevant? No. But it is expected. And with expectation comes fewer surprises. And fewer surprises means less attention. And less attention means less impression. Today we have to think differently.
My name is Lis Gerber. I’m a Creative Director. I have been in the branding industry for almost 25 years. I have held various titles in my work life—Creative Director, Brand Strategist, Senior Graphic Designer, Art Director and Copywriter. I have managed teams of Graphic Designers, Industrial Designers, Videographers, Photographers, and Stylists. I have worked with many brands from local to global to help tell their brand story through omni-channel marketing. I have a very strategic mind, and I love the business side as well. Client list includes but is not limited to Ziploc, Unilever, PepsiCo, FritoLay, General Mills, KraftHeinz, E&J Gallo, and Dunkin’. My packaging work has been published in many fashion and style magazines such as O Magazine, InStyle, and WWD to name a few. I’ve done things big and small and loved every second of all of it. I love of all things designed. On the side, I also write a blog about things I like appropriately called If You Like What I Like and I like to paint—you can see that here at lisgerberart.com
